What to expect at this luxury hotel in Tokyo’s 10th anniversary stay package
When it comes to luxury hotels, Palace Hotel Tokyo is one of the city’s crown jewels. The Forbes Five-Star property is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, Palace Hotel Tokyo launches a special stay package. Available until May 31, 2023, Commemorating Tokyo presents ten elements that are specially curated to mark the milestone. From a complimentary night’s stay to a Moat-side breakfast, this package has everything you need for a luxurious and celebratory getaway. Here’s what you can expect:
1. Complimentary night
Enjoy an extra night when you book a minimum of three nights.
By booking a Club room or suite—including one of the recently debuted Premier Suites—you get to enjoy Club Lounge privileges every day. This includes breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails and canapés.
2. Moat-side breakfast
Start your day off right with a delectable and nourishing breakfast in Grand Kitchen’s open-air terrace which overlooks the beautiful Imperial Palace gardens in the midst of one of the world’s most bustling cities.
3. Toast-worthy welcome
When you arrive, a bottle of Palace Hotel Tokyo’s private-label Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Bordeaux will greet you, ready to be indulged during your stay or taken home.
4. Artful edibles
Indulge a box of the hotel’s signature chiyo choco—thin, melt-in-your-mouth tiles of premium white, milk and dark chocolate imprinted with distinctive Japanese motifs.
5. Inspired mixology
Unwind with cocktails made just for you by the hotel’s expert mixologists: ‘Blooming’ cocktails for two at Royal Bar, the hotel’s Old-World bar, or at Lounge Bar Privé, a chic lounge featuring views of the Imperial Palace gardens and Marunouchi skyline.
Made with a refreshing mixture of yuzu liqueur, sakura liqueur, Lillet Blanc and the hotel’s signature 1-1-1 sake exclusively produced at the esteemed Hakkaisan brewery in Niigata prefecture, the cocktail’s clear, crisp taste and flowery aroma evoke images of the hotel’s natural surroundings.
6. Refined dining
Savor the good life with an exquisite dining experience at the hotel’s beautifully appointed restaurants. You may dine at Esterre, the hotel’s Michelin-starred, contemporary French restaurant operated in partnership with DUCASSE Paris; GO, where the freshest produce from land and sea is seared and served teppanyaki-style; or Wadakura, known for its exquisite Japanese kaiseki cuisine.
7. Spa retreat
Enjoy two 120-minute ‘Blissful Moments’ treatments at evian SPA TOKYO, where French sensibilities guide the treatment experience and a minimalist aesthetic offers an oasis that is both wonderfully relaxing and very Japanese.
The combination of body and facial treatment is intended to relieve tension, re-energize and rejuvenate the body and face. It may be enjoyed in separate rooms or in the twin-bedded spa suite.
8. Afternoon tea for two
Treat yourself and a loved one to afternoon tea served in the hotel’s stunning lobby lounge. Presented on brand-new lacquerware set exclusively made for the hotel, The Palace Lounge’s popular afternoon tea service features seasonal ingredients and takes inspiration from the colors of each season.
In keeping with Palace Hotel Tokyo’s ‘harmony with nature’ ethos and the brand’s regard for tradition and innovation, artist Akito Akagi—internationally recognized as one of Japan’s leading contemporary lacquerware artisans—designed the set to reflect a blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary style.
Handmade in the artist’s atelier, each piece of varying shape and size is reminiscent of river stones sculpted naturally over time, and each is finished in black or white lacquer, presenting an elegant canvas atop which the equally artful sweets and savories are served up (accompanied by a selection of premium teas).
9. Commemorative luggage tags
Remember your special stay at the Palace Hotel Tokyo with the keepsake luggage tag—a pair of 10th-anniversary room-key-and-luggage-tag-in-one.
10. Aromatic keepsake
Take home an essential oil and reed diffuser set created exclusively for guests of the Palace Hotel Tokyo—the ‘Pure Tranquility’ signature fragrance, a blend of 11 essential oils that has become increasingly popular among guests over the past ten years.
The three-night Palace Hotel Tokyo anniversary stay package is available for stays until May 31, 2023 (subject to availability, based on double occupancy). The rates start at JPY 410,000 inclusive of consumption tax, excluding 15% service charge and accommodation tax of JPY 200 per person per night.
