LUCE by Davide Giacomelli: A new Italian concept restaurant in Singapore

Looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in Singapore? LUCE by Davide Giacomelli, a brand new Italian concept restaurant, will soon open at InterContinental Singapore.

The opening of LUCE is happening on May 20, 2022, following a global hunt for a culinary superstar to grace the luxury heritage hotel in Singapore.

Responding to a culinary casting call which attracted the attention of over 200,000 hopefuls, Chef Davide Giacomelli’s passion for Italian cuisine and thirst for adventure saw him beat almost 120 other chefs from around the world.

The prize?

A namesake concept and a blank canvas on which to bring his ‘bistronomic‘ (combining a gastronomic experience with a bistro vibe) vision to life. 

Who is Chef Davide Giacomelli

Chef de Cuisine Davide Giacomelli boasts over 13 years of culinary experience, including at several Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe.

The Italian native has experience under the tutelage of multiple Michelin-starred chefs and pays homage to his earliest love affair—the sight, scent and flavors of classic Italian cooking at his father’s restaurant in the quaint town of Sirmione, ‘the pearl’ of Lake Garda.

Chef David will be in charge of the hotel’s renowned flagship restaurant, ensuring that guests receive a personalized, immersive, and authentic Italian dining experience.

Davide will be joined by Artem Viglione, who will serve as Restaurant Manager. Artem has a lot of experience in the food and beverage industry. He has worked in Italy, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore in different roles at restaurants like iO Italian Osteria Restaurant, LAVO Restaurant at Marina Bay Sands, and Da Paolo Restaurant & Bar at Dempsey.
