“I was constantly amazed by the variety and quality of the food. Hong Kong is really a great place to explore and discover new flavors and experiences,” commented Richard about his recent trip to Hong Kong.
Richard Juan, a Chinese Filipino TV personality, actor, host, and entrepreneur, has curated a list of the three best dining spots you must try.
Fine dining and elegant atmosphere at the Artisan Lounge
A highlight of his culinary exploration was the fine-dining experience at the Artisan Lounge. This all-day café, bar and bespoke boutique takes inspiration from K11 MUSEA – a premier shopping center in Hong Kong – with its elegant, luxurious “manor-like” concept.
“Having afternoon tea at the Artisan Lounge was 100% a different type of memorable experience,” Richard shared. “The atmosphere was sophisticated and elegant, with a beautiful burgundy and metallic bronze color scheme. The food was also top-notch, especially the tarts we had from the afternoon tea set.”
The lounge also offers a great view of K11 MUSEA’s Gold Ball – an enthralling multi-cultural exhibition space. This impressive sight adds to the already soothing atmosphere and truly elevates the guests’ experience.
“With the unique drinks, like the cotton candy hot chocolate that I ordered, everything about this place is amazing for photos,” he added. “I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sophisticated, Instagrammable afternoon tea experience in Hong Kong.”
Delicious Chinese cuisine and Instagrammable experiences at FAM restaurant
Richard ventured further into the city’s rising restaurant scene and found FAM, a one-of-a-kind dining experience in Kowloon which seamlessly combines contemporary Chinese cuisine with art and music.
“The food was absolutely delicious, with standout dishes including the flavourful shrimp dumplings, the savory abalone, and wild mushrooms in puff pastry,” he highlighted.
“The restaurant itself is chic and stylish, with an art deco-inspired indoor open space that is both inviting and sophisticated.”
On top of that, Richard’s dining experience was amplified by the breathtaking view of Victoria Harbour from the restaurant.
“FAM is located in the Art Park of the West Kowloon Cultural District, which offers a stunning 270-degree view of Victoria Harbour. The outdoor grass lawn adds to the atmosphere and makes it a great place to relax and enjoy the view. I was able to soak up the atmosphere and take in the beautiful scenery while I ate,” he relayed.
I-O-N: European-Styled Cafe Fare with a Hong Kong Twist!
To wrap up his culinary journey, Richard stopped by I-O-N where European café fare meets a unique Hong Kong twist in Central Market.
“I love the vibe of I-O-N,” he gushed after trying out I-O-N’s signature dishes. “The café and cocktail bar area is very aesthetic and is very Instagrammable.”
Richard invites his fellow food lovers to come and navigate the city’s diverse culinary scene to search for the best food finds.
