“Hong Kong is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with incredible scenery—from mountains, country parks, city skylines and beaches,” said Dr. Jennifer Cronin, President of Wharf Hotels and Chair of Heritage Tourism Brands.

“It is an efficient and dynamic world-class city yet has spectacular natural beauty and we wanted to put together a video that portrays the city in its best light. We recognize that people cannot travel yet, and they may not wish to travel for the next few months, and therefore our objective is to bring the city together and highlight the amazing attractions that we can enjoy on our own doorstep.”

Island hop in the Philippines

With 7,641 islands, the Philippines has an incredibly long list of gorgeous places to explore. Even though only about 2,000 islands are inhabited, this tropical paradise offers many breathtaking destinations, from picture-perfect beaches (with some of them untouched) to stunning waterfalls, rice terraces, limestone caves, a world-famous underground river, and other natural wonders.

Worth mentioning are the UNESCO World Heritege sites such as Chocolate Hills in Bohol (a geological wonder that features over 1,200 small mountains that emerged above the ground over several centuries) and Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan (one of the longest navigable underground rivers in the world).

Walk inside the world’s largest cave, located in Vietnam

Located in Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park in central Vietnam, the cave was discovered by a local man in 1991. It was then explored by a group of cavers from the British Cave Research Association in 2009.

You may have wanted to explore Han Son Doong cave on foot and marvel at the massive domes, fast-flowing subterranean river, stalactites and stalagmites, flora and fauna. Enough reason to include this destination in our virtual tours of Asia.

For now, experience how it feels inside the cave via a virtual tour.
