“As the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Travel Asia Now, my mission is to inspire you to experience Asia one destination at a time, savor Asian cuisine one local dish at a time, embrace wellness one step at a time, take a cruise one voyage at a time, appreciate art and culture one museum or gallery at a time, explore accommodations one property at a time, connect with locals one interaction at a time, appreciate Asian culture one tradition at a time, and embrace sustainable tourism one initiative at a time.

My goal is to provide informative, inspiring, and relatable stories so that you can make the most of your travels in Asia.

And I hope that Travel Asia Now will serve as your travel guide and resource for exploring Asia — whether you’re looking for information on where to go, what to see, or how to get the most out of your travels.”

RHEA VITTO TABORA spent 14 years in the hospitality and software solution industries in Vietnam and Indonesia. Leaving behind her expatriate role as Director of Sales and Marketing for one of the world’s leading international serviced residence owner-operators and as Deputy General Director for Vietnam’s largest commercial real estate developer, she is back home in the Philippines doing what she loves — traveling, writing and creating content for hospitality industry players.

She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Arts major in Journalism degree. She has written hundreds of travel and lifestyle articles for various publications and created content for several hotel websites, showcasing her expertise in the hospitality and travel industry.

In 2019, Rhea co-founded Travel Asia Now. The publication’s focus on sustainable tourism shows her passion for responsible travel practices.

In 2022, she co-founded Asia Sustainable Travel Briefing, Asia’s first trade travel media specialized in providing insights on sustainability, regeneration, and consumer engagement.

Rhea is also a member of SKAL International Makati, a member of Skål International, the world’s largest global network of tourism professionals promoting tourism and friendship worldwide.

ROBERT “BOBBY” LIM JOSEPH JR. (+)
Co-Founder & Adviser

ROBERT “BOBBY” LIM JOSEPH JR. (+) was an esteemed figure in the Philippine travel and tourism industry. He was a well-known and highly respected individual who spent many years of his life working as a volunteer to promote tourism and environmental protection.

He served as Chairman of SKAL International Makati, Network of Independent Travel and Allied Services Philippines, Inc. (NITAS), League of Tourism Students of the Philippines (LTSP), Make a Difference (MAD) Travel and Lakbay Museo, an interactive museum in Pasay City, Philippines.

Bobby Joseph acted as President of Tourism Educators and Movers Philippines (TEAM Philippines), Vice Chairman of the International School of Sustainable Tourism, and Past President of the Rotary Club of Manila (the first Rotary Club in Asia).

He was also an Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Latvia to the Philippines from 1994 until his passing in June 2022.

He was an entrepreneur, a wine connoisseur, an author, and a motivational speaker.

Sadly, Mr. Joseph passed away on June 13, 2022. He was only 72 years old. Despite his untimely passing, his legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he has touched and the significant contributions he has made in the field of tourism. His work and passion for Philippine tourism inspire many, and those who knew him will forever cherish his memory.
