Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas ushers in a new era of luxury

Step into a refreshed and luxurious way of living at the newly renovated Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, the first international hotel brand in the Gangnam area of Seoul. After undergoing a comprehensive 11-month renovation, the hotel’s facade, Club InterContinental Lounge, and guestrooms spanning from the seventh to the 33rd floor have been completely transformed.

2020 has definitely been a year of change for our hotel with the major renovation that we’ve done to commemorate the 30th anniversary of this hotel. With InterContinental Hotels & Resorts pioneering luxury travel across the globe since 1946, we will continue to elevate the experience at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas to deliver an unprecedented lifestyle choice in the capital of South Korea,” said Brian Harris, General Manager, Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas.

Luxury design for functionality

The hotel worked with 1508 London, a British interior design group, on its new interiors. The design of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas encompasses ‘Return to Nature’, ‘Balance’ and ‘Crafted Detailing’ themes.

For a distinctively luxurious atmosphere, the design exhibits Korea’s unique lines and warm colors, creating harmony between materials for an exquisite finish.

With floor-to-ceiling windows, you can indulge in a luxurious stay experience while enjoying the panoramic views. The hotel exterior, retrofitted with full-paneled glass, exudes modern aesthetics and sophisticated elegance. The hotel reinforced the glass panels with insulating bars for improved energy efficiency as part of the hotel’s green commitment towards IHG’s Green Engaged program.

The Club InterContinental Lounge, which was previously on the 26th floor, is now located on the hotel’s top floor at level 34, providing an elevated club experience in its new location. With a new harmonized look and a grand golden canopy on the ground floor, the hotel aimed to become a design landmark with contemporary charm in the Gangnam area.

Luxurious amenities and suites for all needs

Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas offers 16 types of rooms to accommodate various needs, from spacious Deluxe rooms to Junior suites and luxurious top suites.

New room facilities include a minimum 55-inch LED UHD Smart TV regardless of the room type. All suites offer a clothing sterilizer so you can disinfect your clothes for ease of mind.

Located on the 32nd floor of the hotel, its Presidential Suite offers a luxurious 303sqm over two floors, a 4-metre high ceiling, a separate treatment room where you can enjoy a Technogym treadmill and a Finnish-style dry sauna with the comfort of privacy. Complementing the suite experience is a living room equipped with a 77-inch OLED UHD TV, an elegantly decorated study, and a dining room with a built-in wine cellar, a fridge, and a dining table that accommodates eight persons.

Delectable culinary journeys and meeting experiences

After a long hiatus, you can now indulge in gourmet culinary experiences at the hotel’s reopened restaurants. Savor modern Chinese cuisine at Weilou, a three-time winner at World Luxury Restaurant Awards, in its new location on the 34th floor, along with a buffet at Grand Kitchen and traditional Japanese cuisine at the popular Hakone.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has been delivering True Hospitality in meetings and events for decades. It has combined this wealth of knowledge with industry best practices and the expertise behind IHG Way of Clean, to bolster the global Meet with Confidence commitment.
